The Annual Doug Vann Hockey Tournament is proud to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in memory of Doug Vann every year since 1979.

The tournament takes its name from Air Canada Captain Doug Vann. At age 44, Douglas Allen Vann passed away on October 24, 1978, succumbing to a second massive heart attack. We honour him, his family, and his love of hockey by coming together each year to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Your donations and support of this tournament will lead to new research that will help prevention, treatment, recovery and policy for heart disease and stroke.
